CYGNETS are delighted to announce that we have been nominated and shortlisted for 2 awards in the Community ReAwards 2023: YOUTH GROUP AWARD – CYGNETS and OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AWARD – KALINI KENT.

This is a really special set of awards that recognises the contributions made by volunteers and groups that contribute to our community.

Attending the Awards were a few of the many wonderful volunteers that help make CYGNETS the special group that it is:

Kalini Kent, Catherine Henderson, Heather Tebay, Simon Leah and David Kent.

CYGNETS was set up in 2010 to use theatre, music and dance to develop confidence, self esteem, communication and social skills in young people so they can thrive.

We meet weekly in a nurturing and supportive environment and are always working towards a show.  Last year alone we performed Matilda, A Celebration Concert, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Oliver, and we are now working towards Shrek.

We are so proud of the hundreds of young people we have nurtured and the wonderful families we have supported and, we have a wonderful camaraderie, such that we are known as the “CYGNETS Family”.
